Yamel Thompson is an executive producer based in Los Angeles and the founder of the production company Agüita. Originally from Mexico City, Yamel began her career producing documentary films and unscripted television before she moved into music videos and advertising.
In 2020, she created Agüita alongside her producing partner Veronica Leon. Agüita has crafted iconic campaigns and music videos for some of the most influential brands and artists of our time, including Nike, Apple, Spotify, Beats, Billboard, Rosalia, Bad Bunny, Christina Aguilera, Travis Scott, and many more.
Yamel’s and Agüita’s work has been awarded in festivals such as FICM, Cannes Lions, and Berlinale, as well as featured in the publications Dazed, Billboard, Pitchfork, Rolling Stone, Variety, Highsnobiety, Director’s Library, to name a few.
