Siobhan Murphy has been at the helm of Merman Branded since its inception in June 2017 – three years after the BAFTA winning production company was founded by Sharon Horgan and Clelia Mountford.

Initially serving as Executive Producer and now Partner, Siobhan is integral to Merman becoming one of the most respected and fastest growing production houses in the UK. Merman’s roots originally lie in comedy but in more recent years, the company has been working to broaden its commercial offering, now boasting an eclectic stable of storytellers spanning many visual and narrative styles.

Siobhan has been responsible for signing and developing formidable filmmakers including MJ Delaney, Declan Lowney, Martin Krejci, Vaughan Arnell and more recently Margot Bowman and Mark Albiston.

Alongside the more traditional ventures, in 2023, Siobhan was instrumental in launching Merman’s Branded Entertainment division that forges relationships between brands and the entertainment industries to produce original content that places social and cultural discourse at the heart of its storytelling. Previous projects within this space include a short film for Mini directed by Yorgos Lanthimos that continues to be featured in festivals around the world, and an upcoming campaign for Women’s Aid in conjunction with the charity’s 50th anniversary.
