Kacho López Mari is a Puerto Rican filmmaker and the co-founder of Filmes Zapatero. He has made a significant impact in the Latin music video industry, working with top-tier artists such as Bad Bunny, Juanes, Calle 13, Ricky Martin, Tego CalderónDaddy Yankee, and Residente.

López Mari has seven Latin Grammy nominations and two wins. His awarded works include Ojos Color Sol by Calle 13, featuring actors María Valverde and Gael García Bernal, and Juanes’ Loco de Amor – La Historia. He broke new ground with Juanes’ Mis Planes son Amarte, the first visual album in Latin music, earning him his sixth Latin Grammy nomination in 2018.

In 2023, his work on Bad Bunny’s El Apagón – Aquí vive gente was nominated for Music Video of the Year at The Shots Awards of the Americas and shortlisted at Cannes Lions 70 for Excellence in Music Video. This video also earned a nomination in the Video for Good category at the VMAs 2023. Furthermore, his Canción Desaparecida music video for Juanes was nominated for Videoclip del Año at the Premios Rolling Stone en Español in August 2023.

López Mari’s videos have been featured in Music Video festivals across Berlin, Los Angeles, Toronto, Buenos Aires, Bogota, and São Paulo.
