John Forero is the current President and CCO of DDB Colombia. Throughout his career, he has been Chief Creative Officer of Ogilvy Latin America, member of the World Creative Board of Ogilvy and DDB worldwide. He has been also Global Creative Leader of The Coca Cola Company account, Regional Creative Director for Kimberly Clark, Creative Director for Pfizer Latin America, Global Project Leader for the Milo Nestlé brand and CCO for McDonald’s Latin America.
Throughout his career, he has been a speaker in more than 11 countries and a jury at the most important advertising festivals worldwide and regionally such as Cannes Lions, One Show, Clio, London International Awards, New York Festival, El Ojo de Iberoamérica, El Sol, Fiap, Wave and Effie Latam, including President of the Jury in Cannes Lions 2024.
As President of DDB Colombia, he led the agency to be Agency of the Year at Effie Latam for the first time in its history in 2021 and one of the 8 most Effective Agencies of the World according to Effie Index. Also, one of the most creative agencies in the world according to Warc Creative and the second most creative agencies in Iberoamerica according to El Ojo de Iberoamerica.
As CCO of the Ogilvy network in Latin America, he led the process that led the network to be the Most Innovative Network in the World according to Cannes Lions 2018, Latin American Network of the Year at Cannes Lions and London Festival in 2019 and also to be the Best Latin American Network in One Show, D&AD, Clio and Crema, the ranking that sums up all the most important global and regional festivals, including the Effie Awards.
Throughout his career he has won 64 Lions at Cannes, including the Grand Prix, as well as the Grand Clio, the World’s Most Innovative Agency according to Cannes Lions, Agency of the Year in El Sol, and has been named as the best Creative Director in Colombia and one of the 10 best Creative Directors of the Continent for 10 years at El Ojo de Iberoamérica and also one of the 101 Best Advertisers in the World according to Forbes.
