When Desmond Loh arrived in Shanghai 20 years ago, he already knew he wanted to make a mark in the city he now calls home. 20 years later, he has accomplished that and more. Known for his fearless vision and progressive leadership, he has led his teams at BBDOSaatchi & Saatchi and Stink in their Shanghai and Beijing offices to achieve great heights during the golden years of China advertising and production.

With his blaze of glory, it was no one’s surprise that he would embark on his most ambitious role to date as the Managing Partner of Holy Momma 2 years ago, straight after the epic lockdown of the city with her 26 million population when the country’s borders were still not opened to the rest of the world. But Desmond has already set his sights on creating a new holy order. No global pandemic nor post-pandemic transformations could put the brakes on his vision of marrying the eastern and western cultures and talents in the most compelling collaborations. Along the way, he continues to challenge stereotypes, he pushes boundaries, yet he always succeeds in bringing the people together.
