Melissa Culligan is not the heiress to the Culligan Water Empire. Born and raised in Manhattan, she went to Los Angeles for college and has spent the years since bouncing back and forth between the coasts. Her roots in production go back to Propaganda where she worked repping some of the commercial and music video greats of the early 90s. She left to open the Directors Bureau in 1997 with Roman Coppola and Mike Mills where she created a name for herself as both a tastemaker and a nurturer of talent. She joined Epoch in 2012, joining forces with Mindy Goldberg to establish a new beginning partnering with Martin De Thurah. She once told Angelina Jolie she had toilet paper stuck to her shoe.
